This lifebuoy provided a source of discussion when awaiting our meal when on holidays a few weeks back.
I posed the question as to what was wrong and quickly the two TY students answered that it did not go to London. This was what I recalled as well, thinking its stops were Belfast, Southampton, Cobh and then the seabed.
Since we returned, d’internet has educated that it also stopped in Cherbourg – I definitely did not know that.
FakeHistoryHunter on Twitter educated that Liverpool might have been more appropriate as that was the location of the Head Office of the White Star Line and also that the lifebuoys on the Titanic did not have any writing.
Then they went back to their mocktails…………
