 I spotted this plaque when in Boyle, Co. Roscommon. I did not recognise Maureen O’Sullivan as an actress, neither the name or the photograph. I suspected that I had not seen any of the films in which she acted – I was wrong. This morning’s update from Stair na hÉireann advised that she was born 105 years ago, on this day. She played Jane opposite Johnny Weissmuller’s Tarzan and one of her seven children is Mia Farrow.  |    |
