I spotted them on the gable of a building earlier this week.
On what type of building would you expect to see them placed?

Have you seen these tile mosaics? I spotted them on the gable of a building earlier this week. On what type of building would you expect to see them placed? I definitely was surprised to see them on a pub – The Brown Bar in Kealkil

I think I recognise those tiles as being from the village of mijas in Spain. At Easter time there is a procession to a little church on the hillside above the village. They make the stations of the cross on route. The village is known for its donkey taxis and is a popular coach stop for bus tours from nearby tormellinos and other resorts near Malaga. Similar tiles adorn the" via dolorosa "in the narrow streets. Possibly someone brought the tiles back from Spain.
