In all the very many years travelling and holidaying on the Dingle Peninsula, I can not recall seeing or looking for fossils. I would have kept an eye out for a nice stone or two which might take up residence in my pocket for a while – but fossil was just a word in a book, not something to look for or touch.
All has changed. There are requests to go fossil hunting.
The size of the stones (or boulders) on which there is a fossil might be a problem if we had the Ryanair weight restrictions returning home – even getting back to where we are staying was enough exercise for the day.
